Prior to your round of golf you should loosen up by stretching the muscles throughout your whole body.
If you have the opportunity to hit some golf balls, great, however, this should not detract you from warming up your muscles first. Playing golf without warming up increases your exposure to injury!!!
The majority of golf courses have practice putting greens. Make sure that you utilize this facility as it will help you to relax before you line up on that first tee.

How to approach from thick rough: – it is almost certain that the grass will get between your golf club and golf ball, therefore, it makes sense to club up.
Try playing the ball further back in your stance in order to get a steeper trajectory on the backswing which will allow you to get down on top of the golf ball.
You can try gripping the club a bit tighter and go for the sensation of striking down into the golf ball and don’t worry about the follow-through. The tighter grip is a precaution to make sure that the clubface doesn’t turn through contact.
